History of Hanauma Bay
Blue ocean, blue sky. Surrounded by mountains, a bay called Hanauma Bay protects a variety of Hawaiian fish.
Tens of thousands of years ago, a crater was formed by active volcanic activity. The ocean that formed there is Hanauma Bay and Hanauma Bay.
It is said that during the Hawaiian Dynasty, royalty used it for vacationing.
About 30 years ago, it was possible to feed the fish here, and tourists used to take bread and other items into the sea, but this has been banned in recent years due to fears of environmental damage.
Nowadays, the park is closed on Tuesdays to allow the ocean to rest and cannot be entered.
The best snorkeling spot in Hawaii to encounter fish.
Fish gather where there is food. Although there are many beautiful blue waters in Hawaii, such as Waikiki Beach and Kailua Beach, Hanauma Bay is probably the most abundant fish habitat in Hawaii.
Because of the abundance of coral, it attracts many fish.
My poor words cannot convey the experience of swimming with the fish.
Drifting through the ocean with turtles and fish half the size of your own body is a great way to feel close to nature.
This will be an opportunity to make people think about the ocean and nature, even if they were not familiar with environmental issues before.
Even if you like activities.
Swimming is a very calorie-intensive exercise. Swimming with beautiful fish is more than just swimming in the ocean, it is a great way to lose track of time.
Two to three hours of snorkeling and swimming will fly by. Don’t get too carried away and don’t forget to take a break.
Advance reservations are required.
In the past, you could get in if you went, but now you need an appointment. You can make reservations two days before the day you go. Reservations fill up quickly because of its popularity.
